Busan International Film Festival 2026 Schedule and Tickets

The 31st Busan International Film Festival runs from October 6 to 15, 2026, at and around the Busan Cinema Center. Check the screening code for the screening you want to attend. Have your mobile phone and payment method ready, then select a seat through the official BIFF ticketing site.

How do I book tickets through the official site?

Use “Ticket Booking” on the BIFF website. Booking for regular screenings began at 14:00 on September 21, 2026 (South Korea). Current availability depends on the seats remaining for each screening. The official link is the BIFF ticketing site.

1. Register as a new ticket buyer. You need to verify your mobile phone number when you first register. Last year’s users must register again.
2. Log in. Use your registered mobile phone number and six-digit numeric password.
3. Find a screening under “Book Tickets.” Search by screening code or date.
4. Select your seats and price. You can book up to two tickets per screening code.
5. Check your tickets after payment. Credit cards, debit cards, and mobile payment services are accepted.

Festival dates and venues

Screenings take place at several venues, centered on the Busan Cinema Center. Community BIFF venues also operate separately. After choosing a film, check its actual screening venue.

The festival scale follows the BIFF overview and features. Booking times are Korea Standard Time.

How to check the 31st Busan International Film Festival screening schedule

Check the official website for schedules by date, venue, or section. A screening code is the number used to find a screening when booking. Even for the same film, it is best to check both the date and venue.

1. Choose the date of your visit. Open the schedule for that date under “Screening Schedule” on the website.
2. Check the venue. If you have decided how far you can travel, narrow your search using the venue schedules.
3. Note the screening details. Write down the film title, start time, venue, and screening code.
4. Check the viewing details. Check the age rating, subtitles, and GV label before booking.

Program overview and what to look for

Choosing a program that fits your interests makes it easier to select a screening. “On Screen” is the section for drama series. “Korean Cinema Today” presents contemporary Korean films. You can find individual titles in the official BIFF program.

If you want to meet an actor, distinguish between a film screening and a separate talk event. Schedules have been announced for Actors House appearances by Lee Min-ho, Kim Go-eun, Kim Min-ha, and others. For example, Kim Go-eun’s event is on October 8 (South Korea) from 16:00 to 17:00. Ticket prices and viewing options

Regular screenings cost 10,000 won per ticket. Prices vary by event type. The amounts below are the standard prices in the 2026 BIFF ticketing guide.

If you are eligible for a discount, check the proof required before paying. Seniors, people with disabilities, and people recognized for national service receive a 3,000 won discount on their own tickets. Proof of eligibility for discounted tickets must be checked on-site.

Box office dates and remaining seats

You can buy tickets on-site when seats or canceled tickets are available. Visiting a box office does not guarantee a seat. The booking schedule press release says that all regular seats are sold online. BIFF booking schedule press release

A separate, limited number of seats are available at the counter for people who have difficulty using digital services. This is for viewers aged 65 or older and people with disabilities. They can buy tickets for regular screenings on the same day or the following day. On opening day, the outdoor box office handles only screenings for the following day.

When is the cancellation and refund deadline?

You can cancel up to 60 minutes before a screening starts. Fees depend on how many days remain until the screening date. During some periods, a fee applies even if you cancel on the day you book. BIFF cancellation and refund FAQ

In the 5~3-day period, there is no cancellation fee if you cancel on the day you book. From 2 days before the screening date, a fee applies even on the day you book. Fees are waived if a schedule changes or is canceled for reasons attributable to the festival.

1. For a mobile ticket, open the details under “Booking Confirmation/Cancellation.”
2. Select the seat you want to cancel and proceed with the cancellation.
3. For a paper ticket, return the physical ticket to a BIFF box office.

What to check between booking and admission

You need the actual mobile or paper ticket to enter. Screenshots and booking confirmation notifications are not accepted as tickets. If you are seeing several films, allow time to travel between venues. BIFF venue operating information

1. Open your mobile ticket. After logging in, select your mobile ticket under “Booking Confirmation/Cancellation.”
2. Check when the previous film ends. Leave enough time to reach the next venue.
3. Allow separate time for a GV. If you book another screening immediately after a film ends, you may not be able to stay for the entire conversation.
4. Arrive for the start of the first film. A bundled screening does not allow entry starting with a film in the middle of the program.

Admission generally begins 15 minutes before a screening. This may vary depending on conditions on-site. Entry is restricted once 15 minutes have passed after the screening starts. If you enter late, your booked seat may not be guaranteed.

Are volunteer recruitment and citizen invitations separate?

Volunteer recruitment and citizen invitation events are separate from ticket booking. Volunteer applications closed at 23:59 on July 12, 2026. You can check the recruitment status in the BIFF volunteer recruitment notice.
