2026 LoL Worlds LCK Teams and Match Schedule

The 2026 World Championship is an international League of Legends tournament. It will be held in the United States from October 16 to November 15, Korea time. The LCK’s Gen.G, Hanwha Life Esports, T1, and Dplus Kia will compete in the Swiss stage, which begins on October 24 (United States).

The schedule and team list are based on Riot Games’ October 5, 2026 announcement.

Tournament overview and venues

Teams representing regional leagues will compete for the season title. The tournament proceeds through the Play-In, Swiss stage, and knockout stage, in that order. The match format and venue change between stages.

The venues are listed in the MSI and World Championship update. In the Play-In, one of four teams advances to the next stage. Sixteen teams compete in the Swiss stage, and eight of them advance to the knockout stage.

LCK teams and entry stage

Four teams from the LCK will compete in the Swiss stage. None of them will play in the Play-In. The abbreviations below are used to find the teams on the official schedule.

The teams can also be confirmed in the official tournament overview. The order in the table is not the match order. The Swiss stage’s opening date should also be distinguished from each team’s individual match time.

2026 World Championship schedule and Korea time

The Play-In begins on October 16, Korea time. All dates and times below are in Korea Standard Time (KST) in 2026. The time shown is when matches begin on that date.

These times match the KST times in the English tournament announcement. There are no matches on October 28 during the Swiss stage. The order in which LCK teams play must be checked on the schedule after the draw. When are the Swiss matchups decided?

The first draw takes place immediately after the Play-In ends on October 19, Korea time. As of October 11, the LCK teams’ first opponents have therefore not been determined. Draw tiers are the groups used to assign opponents.

Riot Games’ “2026 World Championship Announcement” states:

Teams from the same region cannot face each other in Round 1.

Gen.G and Dplus Kia therefore cannot face each other in their first match. Hanwha Life Esports and T1 cannot meet in their first match either. From Round 2, teams from the same region can face each other.

Match formats and what to watch

In the Swiss stage, each team’s cumulative record determines its next opponent. A team advances to the knockout stage with 3 wins and is eliminated with 3 losses.

From Round 2 of the Swiss stage, teams with the same record face each other. Teams do not face an opponent they have already played in the Swiss stage. For this reason, the full list of opponents cannot be finalized before the stage begins.

• First match: Check both the draw tiers and the restriction on same-region matchups.
• Next round: Check each team’s cumulative record as well as its name.
• Knockout stage: Check the quarterfinal matchups separately from which teams advance through the Swiss stage.

How to distinguish confirmed dates from undecided matchups

Even when a match date has been announced, the opposing team may not yet be known. TBD on the official schedule means the decision will be made later. It should not be taken to mean a team failed to qualify or a match was canceled.

When citing dates, include the time zone. The opening date in the United States is October 15. That same opening match begins at 3 a.m. on October 16 in Korea. The final also falls on different dates: November 14 locally and November 15 in Korea.

Watching the 2026 World Championship online and in person

Viewers in Korea can start by checking the LoL Esports schedule. They should check both the start time for each match and its linked broadcast. Do not assume the displayed time zone based solely on the page being in Korean.

1. Find the World Championship matches on the LoL Esports schedule.
2. Check that the date and time zone match the viewing time in Korea.
3. After the draw, check whether the team abbreviations and opponents have been updated.
4. Check the commentary language on the broadcast linked to the match listing.

The official ticket information names Ticketmaster as the seller. The announcement does not list prices by seat. Current prices and availability must be checked on the official sales page.

Frequently asked questions

No. October 28 is excluded from the schedule in Korea time. Start times also vary by date.

What should I watch out for if I want to avoid seeing results?

The schedule page may show scores for completed matches. When looking for a replay, first check whether results are displayed. Standings and brackets can also reveal wins and losses.
