Games 1, 2, 6, and 7 will be played at KT’s home stadium in Suwon. Games 3, 4, and 5 will be home games for the playoff winner. The remaining schedule will depend on when the champion is decided and whether rain affects play.

The schedule and operating rules are based on KBO’s October 7, 2026 announcement and its October 17 regulations.

## Tournament overview and key information

The Korean Series decides the champion between the regular-season first-place team and the playoff winner. KT advanced directly by finishing first in the regular season. Its opponent will be determined after the playoffs. KT’s standing can be checked in the [KBO team standings](https://www.koreabaseball.com/Record/TeamRank/TeamRankDaily.aspx).

| Item | Details |
| --- | --- |
| Matchup | KT vs. the playoff winner |
| Scheduled period | November 2 to November 10, 2026 |
| Format | Best of seven |
| Home-game allocation | Two games at KT, three at its opponent, then two at KT |
| KT’s home stadium | Suwon KT Wiz Park |
| Opponent’s home stadium | To be determined by the playoff winner |
| Game times | 18:30 on weekdays; 14:00 on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, Korea time |
| Theater screenings | CGV SCREENX live screenings announced |
| Broadcaster for each game | Check the TV column in KBO’s game schedule and results |

In the playoffs, regular-season second-place team Samsung faces the winner of the semi-playoffs. The semi-playoffs and playoffs are each best-of-five series. More wins are needed to claim the Korean Series title than to win either of those rounds.

## When are Games 1 through 7?

The 2026 Korean Series game dates are November 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, and 10. November 4 and 8 are scheduled as travel days. The table below shows KBO’s initially announced schedule. If a change is announced later, the revised dates will apply.

| Game | Scheduled date in 2026 | Start time, Korea time | Home team and stadium | Condition |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Game 1 | Monday, November 2 | 18:30 | KT, Suwon KT Wiz Park | Scheduled |
| Game 2 | Tuesday, November 3 | 18:30 | KT, Suwon KT Wiz Park | Scheduled |
| Game 3 | Thursday, November 5 | 18:30 | Playoff winner’s home stadium | Scheduled |
| Game 4 | Friday, November 6 | 18:30 | Playoff winner’s home stadium | Scheduled |
| Game 5 | Saturday, November 7 | 14:00 | Playoff winner’s home stadium | If the champion has not been decided |
| Game 6 | Monday, November 9 | 18:30 | KT, Suwon KT Wiz Park | If the champion has not been decided |
| Game 7 | Tuesday, November 10 | 18:30 | KT, Suwon KT Wiz Park | If the champion has not been decided |

The dates and times follow the [game schedule attached to KBO’s postseason announcement](https://www.koreabaseball.com/MediaNews/Notice/View.aspx?bdSe=12183). Only Game 5 is scheduled for a Saturday afternoon. November 10 (South Korea) is the scheduled date for Game 7. Rain or a tie could push the actual end date later.

## How are home stadiums assigned for the 2026 Korean Series?

Home games are assigned in a 2-3-2 format based on regular-season standings. KT hosts the opening and final portions of the series. The playoff winner hosts the middle portion.

| Games | Home team | Stadium |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Games 1 and 2 | KT | Suwon KT Wiz Park |
| Games 3, 4, and 5 | Playoff winner | Confirm the stadium once the opponent is determined |
| Games 6 and 7 | KT | Suwon KT Wiz Park |

KBO’s “2026 Shinhan SOL KBO Postseason Opens October 14” states:

> Games 1, 2, 6, and 7 will be held at the regular-season champion’s home stadium, and Games 3, 4, and 5 at the playoff winner’s home stadium.

This allocation has applied since 2025. Game 5 should therefore not be treated as a home game for the regular-season first-place team. KT’s stadium name and location can also be checked in the [KBO team profiles](https://www.koreabaseball.com/Kbo/League/TeamInfo.aspx).

## What to watch for

The key is each team’s total wins, not the number of games played. The first team to earn **4 wins** is the champion. The following points to watch follow from the series format.

- KT’s first two home games are followed by three games at its opponent’s home stadium.
- If the champion is decided in Game 4, Game 5 and subsequent games will not be played.
- If the series ends in Game 5, Games 6 and 7 in Suwon will not be played.
- If a game ends in a tie, the number of games actually played may differ from the number scheduled.

## What changes if it rains or a game ends in a tie?

Schedule changes distinguish between a postponement before a game starts and a stoppage after it begins. A game that cannot start is generally postponed until the next day. If that does not affect other games, the rest proceed as scheduled.

| Situation | Rule |
| --- | --- |
| Rain postponement before a game starts | Postponed until the next day |
| Game declared suspended during play | Resumed from the point where play stopped |
| Day a suspended game resumes | One game is played that day, regardless of the inning in which play stopped |
| The next day is a travel day | The game is played on the travel day, then that series’ schedule is pushed back one day |
| The next day is the series’ final scheduled game day | After the game, the postseason schedule is pushed back one day in accordance with the regulations |
| Score tied after 15 extra innings | Recorded as a tie |

The October 17, 2026 regulations also explain how a decision to resume play is made. If rain continues, officials wait at least 30 minutes. If more waiting is needed, they make a final decision 50 minutes after play was stopped. If play is stopped several times, the stoppage times are added together.

The 50-minute mark does not mean automatic cancellation. Officials also consider how long it will take to prepare the field and the forecast. No-game rulings and rain-shortened games do not apply in the postseason. The detailed rules appear in the [KBO postseason rain regulations](https://www.koreabaseball.com/MediaNews/Notice/View.aspx?bdSe=12206).

Games that end in a tie are added to the schedule after the series’ final game. As a rule, they are played at the stadium where the tie occurred, without a travel day. If at least 2 games in a series end in ties, one travel day is added. These rules come from KBO’s October 7 announcement.

## Should calendar dates and game numbers be checked separately?

If the schedule changes, the date alone may not tell you which game is being played or where. The game number identifies its order in the series. The date is the day assigned for that game. Both should be noted when adding the initial schedule to a calendar.

| Item | Meaning | What to check |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Scheduled date | The game date initially announced | Whether it has changed because of rain or another reason |
| Game number | The game’s order in the series | Which team is assigned the home game |
| Whether the game will be played | Whether the game is still needed | Whether the champion was decided in an earlier game |
| Resumed game | A game continued after being stopped | Whether it has been mistaken for a new game |

This distinction is especially useful when a game is moved to a travel day. A date left open in the initial schedule will not necessarily remain a rest day. Check the game number, stadium, and game status alongside the calendar date.

## How can you check broadcasts and attend games?

Schedule and ticket information is available from different sources depending on how you plan to watch. KBO announced CGV’s live theater screenings separately. Korean Series ticket prices and booking times must be checked in a separate notice.

| How to watch | Confirmed information | What else to check |
| --- | --- | --- |
| At the ballpark | Home stadium assigned for each game | When Korean Series ticket booking opens, prices by seat, and official seller |
| On TV | KBO’s schedule includes a TV column | Broadcaster for each game and the day’s programming |
| At a CGV theater | Live SCREENX screenings announced for every postseason game | Screening locations, showtimes, prices, and booking schedule |

CGV said fans should book seats in separate cheering sections for the home and away teams. Screening schedules can be checked on the event pages of CGV’s website and app. The source is [KBO’s announcement of live theater screenings for the 2026 postseason](https://www.koreabaseball.com/MediaNews/Notice/View.aspx?bdSe=12170).

Do not assume the ticket sales terms for the Wild Card or semi-playoffs apply. Check the ticket notice for the Korean Series itself. If no official price has been confirmed, do not substitute a price from a previous season.

## How to confirm the final schedule

Check both KBO’s change notices and its game schedule and results for the final schedule. The initial announcement establishes the overall schedule. Later notices must be checked for changes to individual games.

1. Open KBO press releases under Media & News on the KBO website.
2. Check later notices about Korean Series schedule changes and rain.
3. Find the relevant game in the game schedule and results.
4. Compare the date, time, stadium, and TV listing with your viewing plans.

Check [KBO press releases](https://www.koreabaseball.com/medianews/notice/list.aspx) for notices. Game-by-game listings are available in the [KBO game schedule and results](https://www.koreabaseball.com/Schedule/Schedule.aspx).

## Frequently asked questions

### Are all 7 Korean Series games necessarily played?

No. The series ends when one team reaches 4 wins. If there are no ties, it could end after 4 games.

### Could Game 5 also go unplayed?

Yes. It will not be played if one team has 4 wins by the end of Game 4. Games 6 and 7 are not the only conditional games. Plans to attend Game 5 also depend on how the series progresses.

### Is November 10 the confirmed end date?

November 10 is the initially scheduled date for Game 7. Rain and ties could delay the end of the series. If a team clinches the title early, it will end sooner.

### If rain stops a game, does it start over?

If the game is declared suspended, it resumes from the point where play stopped. No-game rulings and rain-shortened games do not apply in the postseason. Only one game is played on the resumption day, regardless of the inning in which play stopped.

The 2026 Korean Series is scheduled for November 2 to 10.
