## Returning contestants and newcomers

**3 contestants** are explicitly identified as having appeared in a previous season. Kim Dong-jae and Ha Seok-jin appeared in Season 1. Jung Hyun-gyu competed in Season 2, The Devil's Plan: Death Room.

| Category | Contestants | Basis for classification |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Returning from Season 1 | Kim Dong-jae, Ha Seok-jin | The official introductions specify Season 1 appearances |
| Returning from Season 2 | Jung Hyun-gyu | The official introduction specifies a Death Room appearance |
| Joining this season without a listed previous appearance | Nucksal, Seo Chul-gu, Stella Jang, Shindong, Oh Hyun-min, Yurisa, Lee Do, Jang Dong-min, Jaejae, Jung Won-young, John Park, Hyun Kyung-ryul, Hong Jin-ho | The official introductions do not list previous appearances on The Devil's Plan |

Being new to this show is not the same as being new to survival competitions. The cast also includes people with experience on other competition shows. The remaining 13 contestants therefore cannot all be described as first-time survival show contestants.

## Spoiler-free premise and what the title means

This reality competition uses brain games and strategy to determine a final winner. Veterans of survival shows and newcomers compete on the same stage. The actual results cannot be known from announcements made before the premiere.

The subtitle Dead Again refers to another attempt by experienced contestants who have faced elimination. That is Netflix's explanation of the title. It does not mean that specific rules for a comeback round have been announced.

## What does a 14-episode release over 3 weeks mean for the schedule?

The 14 episodes are the show's total length, while 3 weeks is its release period. This does not say that every episode will be released on the first day. The October 13 announcement does not say how many episodes will be released each week.

| Detail to check | What the announcement confirms |
| --- | --- |
| Premiere | November 10, 2026 |
| Total length | 14 episodes |
| Release period | 3 weeks |
| Number of episodes released on the first day | Not stated in this announcement |
| Release dates for later episodes | Not stated in this announcement |
| Final episode release date | Not stated in this announcement |

The final release date should not be calculated from the 3-week period alone. No details say that episodes will be released on the same day each week. The exact episode schedule must be checked in a further Netflix announcement.

## What to watch for

The differences in contestants' experience are something to watch for in the official introduction. The points below are ways to follow the show based on their backgrounds, not grounds for predicting any contestant's performance.

- Watch how returning contestants adapt to new games.
- Compare whether experience from other survival shows carries over to this season's rules.
- Observe how poker and board game experience affects how contestants assess information.
- See whether people who worked together before continue to do so this time.

## How to distinguish this season from earlier ones on the show page

Do not assume that episode details on the show page belong to Season 3. The page checked showed episodes from an earlier season alongside the Season 3 teaser. The page's overall title alone does not identify the season of each video.

| Information shown on the page | What to check |
| --- | --- |
| Season 3 teaser | Check whether it is a trailer rather than an episode |
| Episode list | Check which season is selected |
| Episode runtimes | Check whether they belong to an earlier season |
