KBO’s “2026 Shinhan SOL KBO League Regular-Season Remaining Schedule Finalized” specifies the following principle.
If a game with multiple reserve dates is canceled, it will first be rescheduled to the nearest reserve date following the canceled game date.

The race for first place and the competition among mid-table teams must be read using different criteria. Winning percentage is calculated by dividing wins by the number of games decided as either wins or losses. Ties are excluded from the denominator when calculating winning percentage.

· Games behind between two teams: [(higher-ranked team’s wins − lower-ranked team’s wins) + (lower-ranked team’s losses − higher-ranked team’s losses)] ÷ 2
· Difference in games played: an indicator comparing how many games the teams have already played
The Race for First Between KT and Samsung

Calculating the Gaps Between 3rd and 5th Place
The gap between adjacent teams can be calculated by subtracting their respective games-behind figures. LG and KIA are separated by 8.5 − 7 = 1.5 games. KIA and Doosan are separated by 12.5 − 8.5 = 4 games.
The gap between Doosan and NC is 15.5 − 12.5 = 3 games. This calculation must use a table with the same reference date. Combining figures from different dates does not produce a valid comparison.
Rescheduling Principles After Rainouts
Published reserve dates are applied first to canceled games. If no reserve date is available, the timing of the cancellation and whether the following matchup is between the same teams are considered.

The September 21 reserve date applies only to games canceled on September 19–20. Doubleheaders may be scheduled beginning September 29. From September 29 through October 5, each team may play at most one.
Doubleheader Start Times
Doubleheaders have different start times on weekdays and weekends. Both games are limited to 9 innings. Even if only one game is played, it is limited to 9 innings.

Even if Game 1 ends early, the standard time for Game 2 remains unchanged. On weekdays, if Game 1 ends after 5:50 p.m., Game 2 begins at least 40 minutes later. The corresponding cutoff time on weekends and public holidays is 4:20 p.m.
Distinguishing the Announcement Date, Standings Reference Date, and Game Date
Schedules and standings are associated with different dates. The announcement date is the day the schedule was published. The standings reference date indicates when the cumulative records were measured.
