Game 1 of the 2026 Korean Series will be held on November 3 at Suwon KT Wiz Park. It has been pushed back one day from November 2. Media Day has been moved to November 2 (South Korea). All subsequent games have also been pushed back one day.
The dates and game times are based on KBO's October 30, 2026 schedule change notice and the attached schedule.
Why was the Korean Series schedule changed?
The schedule was changed to allow at least one travel day after the playoffs end. Game 5 of the playoffs between the Samsung Lions and KIA Tigers was scheduled for November 1 (South Korea). As a result, the start of the next series was also delayed.
KBO's “2026 Shinhan SOL KBO Postseason Schedule Change” explains the rule behind the change as follows:
The rule requiring at least 1 travel day between each postseason series
November 2 is no longer the date of Game 1. It is now a travel day and the date of Media Day. If you saved the previous postseason schedule, you need to update the opening date. The basis for the change is available in the KBO schedule change notice.

The format and what the matchup means
The Korean Series determines that year's overall KBO League champion. The regular-season champion faces the playoff winner. The first team to win 4 games becomes the champion.
The postseason is the stage after the regular season in which the champion is decided. The Korean Series is its final stage. A regular-season title and the overall championship are separate achievements. The format is explained in the KBO competition format.
· The regular-season champion advances directly to the Korean Series.
· The playoff winner advances after making it through the preceding series.
· PO in the schedule means playoffs.
· KS in the schedule means Korean Series.
The October 30 attachment lists the venues for Games 3, 4, and 5 by reference to the opposing team. The listed venue is “PO winner's home ballpark.” A specific ballpark therefore cannot be confirmed from this table alone.
What to watch for
The home ballpark assignments and the number of wins needed for the championship provide a guide to following the series. The first two games are scheduled in Suwon. The next three are home games for the playoff winner. If the series continues, the final two games will be played in Suwon again.
· Changes in home venue: There are travel days after Game 2 and Game 5.
· Weekend start times: Games 4 and 5 are scheduled for 14:00, earlier than the weekday games.
· Series progress: As one team gets closer to 4 wins, whether the remaining games will be played changes.
The schedule alone does not establish whether a particular team has an advantage or disadvantage. Starting pitchers and game rosters need to be checked separately. This article does not reveal game results or the champion.
Comparing Korean Series broadcasts and attending in person
To watch on TV, check the channel scheduled for each game. To attend in person, check both the venue and ticket information. The schedule change notice does not include ticket prices or the time ticket sales open.

Information to keep separate when saving the schedule
Save the game number and date as separate fields to reflect changes accurately. The game sequence, such as “Game 1,” remains the same even after the schedule is postponed. The date of play, however, changes. Including the announcement date in a schedule shared with others also helps keep it accurate.
Field to save | Example entry | Why to keep it separate
Game number | Game 1 | Identifies the game's place in the series even if the date changes
Scheduled date and time | November 3, 2026, 18:30, Korea Standard Time | Prevents time zone confusion when viewed overseas
Venue | Suwon KT Wiz Park | Allows the ballpark to be checked separately from the date
Conditions for play | Game 5 if the champion has not been decided | Distinguishes a scheduled game from one that is actually played
Announcement date | October 30, 2026 | Distinguishes the revised schedule from the previous version
